WordPress blogs that have been updated infrequently are less interesting than the ones being actively maintained because you know there's someone or something behind it keeping it going.
Update Frequency for WordPress Websites in the Quantcast Top 1m - May 2015
In the top 1 million websites that are built with WordPress in May 2015, 30k are updated monthly, 18k are updated weekly and 29k are updated daily. Around half of the 189k WordPress sites in the Top 1m aren't updated in this window at all - this may be because not all WordPress sites are blogs, it can be used as a CMS and not have traditional "posts" at all.
