When we starting BuiltWith Trends 6 years ago, to find technologies we'd visit the homepage of websites and index them to create the trends. Fast forward to 2015 and we're now able to find technologies across an entire website rather than just the homepage.
It makes trends data much more accurate and bumps the numbers for just about every technology.
