This post is over 5 years old - it might be slightly outdated and consigned to the history books.
To that end the 80% of the 20% is the priority for this new release.
The new site will be launched Northern Hemisphere Summer 2018 as the end of the rebuild is finally in sight.
Although the process is not without it's complexity seeing as there is production code written in 2007 that has been checked and re-written, upgrading a site is a lot easier than starting from scratch.
A more detailed upgrade and rewrite process will be available once the new site is launched!
